NRLZ × Breathe Bond Girl Sunglasses — Everything You Need to Know
Nora Lozza and Breathe co-sign a frame that sets out to balance scale with refinement.
Collaborations between emerging fashion labels and lifestyle brands have become a reliable fixture of the contemporary accessories calendar. The Bond Girl, the latest joint venture between NRLZ — the eyewear line of designer Nora Lozza — and wellness-adjacent label Breathe, arrives with the kind of considered brief that distinguishes it from the more cynical end of the collab market.

The frame is built on bio-acetate, a plant-derived material that has become increasingly common among eyewear labels positioning themselves at the intersection of craftsmanship and environmental responsibility. Relative to conventional petroleum-based acetate, bio-acetate carries a lower environmental footprint without, in this instance, any visible compromise to finish quality. The material holds colour well and presents a surface depth that reads as premium.
"The silhouette carries genuine intent — large without being theatrical, structured without rigidity."
Structurally, the Bond Girl occupies the oversized end of the frame spectrum, which will suit those with a preference for a statement silhouette. The proportions are deliberate: wide enough to register as a design object, but stopped short of the exaggerated dimensions that can render a frame unwearable beyond a narrow set of occasions. Mixed-material temples — incorporating both acetate and metal — keep the overall weight measured, and in extended wear the frame sits comfortably.

The lenses are polarized with UV400 certification. This is, by 2026, a baseline expectation for any sunglasses positioned above entry level, but it is worth noting that the optical quality holds up in direct testing — glare reduction is effective, and there is no noticeable distortion at the lens periphery. The metallic accent detailing at the temples and hinges is restrained: present enough to elevate the frame beyond a pure acetate proposition, absent enough not to tip into ornamentation.

Branding is handled with similar economy. An embossed NRLZ logo sits at the temple exterior; the NORA LOZZA house name appears on the inner temple. Neither is oversized. The accompanying accessories — a signature leather protective case and a high-density microfiber cloth — are well-executed and consistent with the overall positioning of the piece.
